Stewardship

  • CEDI must take good care of the resources it is entrusted with and make sure they are used for the purpose intended. The board of trustees has responsibility for this. In practice, managers are to achieve it through careful strategic planning, setting up appropriate controls, considering risks, and by setting up systems that work in turn with the two golden rules of NGO fieldwork.

Accountability

  • CEDI must explain how it has used resources and what it has achieved as a result to all stakeholders, including beneficiaries. All stakeholders have the right to know how their funds and authority have been used.
  • CEDI have an operational, moral and legal duty to explain our decisions and actions, and submit financial reports for scrutiny.

Transparency

  • CEDI has an open door policy and makes information about its projectsavailable to relevant stakeholders. This includes preparing accurate, complete and timely financial and annual reports as required by law..

Goal

Restoring Hope for the vulnerable founded on Human Rights, Democracy, Peace and Development
